Welcome to Advanced Illustration 1
Course Description
This course develops student’s skills in interpreting a manuscript or story and creating a series of visual images. Students will explore the application of various traditional and digital materials and techniques. Emphasis is placed on unique solutions and perspectives to expand students’ imagination and develop a personal viewpoint. Creation of a book dummy will also be explored.
We will be spending this semester exploring the world of Illustration. This class will be a combination of lectures and studio work. We will be drawing in class every time we meet, so DO NOT COME TO CLASS WITHOUT YOUR MATERIALS. We have 16 sessions together and many issues to cover.
